Treatment

CMD treatment in Crimmitschau

Treatment for jaw joint problems, from grinding and headaches to a tense neck. With a prescription or without.

When CMD treatment helps.

CMD stands for craniomandibular dysfunction: the jaw joint, the chewing muscles and the neck have fallen out of step with each other. The symptoms often show up far away from the jaw, as headaches, neck tension or ringing in the ears. Treatment uses targeted hands-on work on the jaw joint and muscles, techniques for the neck, and exercises for home. It often runs alongside splint therapy at the dentist.

Common reasons

How a treatment works.

01

Assessment

At the first appointment I look at the jaw joint, the chewing muscles and the neck together, and ask about grinding, headaches and everyday strain.

02

Treatment

Targeted hands-on work at the jaw joint and chewing muscles, plus techniques for the neck.

03

For home

You take home jaw and neck exercises that make the difference between appointments.
